THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN UNIVERSITY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF ACCOUNTING STUDENTS IN NIGERIA

Prior studies have associated the academic performance of accounting students to learning facilities and structure, methods entry requirements. Although it is expected that these qualifications would an impact on students’ performance, shown contradictory findings. This study was, therefore, conducted investigate relationship between university requirements students. Data were collected from official records 317 who graduated three universities in Nigeria 2018/2019 session. The data was analyzed using correlation multiple regression statistics with aid SPSS. findings this indicate a positive strong but statistically insignificant Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) grade English language, Mathematics, Economics Accounting final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). implication recommendations are provided.
